Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you may and may not do when using CalHire, Inc. ("CalHire") services. It protects candidates, employers, and the integrity of the platform.

1. Use the platform fairly

You agree to use CalHire only for legitimate hiring and job-seeking, in compliance with applicable employment, anti-discrimination, and data-protection laws.

2. Protect candidate anonymity

You must not attempt to de-anonymize candidates or circumvent the consent-based reveal process. Identity is disclosed only on mutual progression and the candidate's consent, to one employer. Using side channels to identify or contact candidates before a consented reveal is prohibited.

3. Respect the integrity layer

You must not attempt to cheat, manipulate, or reverse-engineer assessments, scores, or the integrity controls; share assessment content; or impersonate another person during identity verification.

4. No discrimination or harm

You must not use CalHire to discriminate unlawfully, harass, or disadvantage any person on the basis of a protected characteristic. Hiring decisions must keep a human in the loop.

5. Protect the service

You must not:

  • probe, scan, or breach security or authentication measures;
  • access data that is not yours, or exceed your assigned role and scope;
  • send spam, malware, or automated traffic that degrades the service;
  • scrape, resell, or misuse data, including candidate data.

6. API and integrations

If you use the CalHire API or integrations, you must respect rate limits, keep credentials secure, and only sync identity or right-to-work data after a consented reveal.

7. Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this AUP, and will cooperate with lawful requests where required. Report abuse to abuse@calhire.com.
