Refund Policy
This is a template pending legal review.
Last updated: July 4, 2026
This Refund Policy explains billing, cancellations, and refunds for CalHire, Inc. ("CalHire") paid plans. Candidates always use CalHire for free; this policy applies to employer, enterprise, and agency plans. It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Billing
Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through our regional payment processors — Razorpay for India (₹) and Paddle for international and UAE customers ($, AED). Paddle acts as Merchant of Record for those transactions. Applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) are added at checkout. Because we accept global payments, your currency is determined automatically from your region.
2. 14-day first-purchase money-back guarantee
For self-serve monthly and annual plans, if you are not satisfied you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. This applies to first-time purchases only and is in addition to any non-waivable statutory rights described in Section 7.
3. Renewals and cancellations
You can cancel anytime in billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan stays active until the end of the current paid period. Renewal charges are generally non-refundable except where required by law or under the guarantee in Section 2. We send renewal reminders where required.
4. Annual plans
Annual plans can be cancelled anytime to prevent the next renewal. Mid-term refunds for annual plans are not provided except within the 14-day first-purchase window (Section 2) or where required by law.
5. Metered and usage-based charges
AI-metered features and usage-based add-ons that have already been consumed are non-refundable, as the underlying service has been delivered.
6. Enterprise and agency agreements
Enterprise and agency plans are governed by their signed order form or master agreement, which controls payment terms and any refund or credit arrangements and takes precedence over this policy to the extent of any conflict.
7. Non-waivable regional consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable statutory consumer rights:
- European Union & United Kingdom: consumers may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal ("cooling-off") for distance purchases. Where you expressly ask us to begin the service during the withdrawal period, you acknowledge that the right to withdraw may be lost once the service is fully performed, or reduced pro rata for the portion already used.
- United States: nothing here waives non-waivable rights or remedies under applicable federal and state consumer-protection law.
- India: refunds, where due, are processed to the original method via Razorpay subject to its timelines, without prejudice to rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
- UAE: refunds follow applicable UAE consumer-protection law and the Merchant of Record's process.
8. How to request a refund
Email billing@calhire.com from your account email with your invoice reference. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method; processing time depends on the payment provider and your bank.
9. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is in error, please contact us first — we aim to resolve billing issues quickly and amicably before any chargeback.
