This Cookie Policy explains how the CalHire public website uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage), and how you control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies and local storage are small pieces of data stored on your device to enable functionality and remember preferences. Some are strictly necessary; others run only with your consent.
2. Consent (EU/UK and consent-first regions)
In the EU/UK and other consent-first regions, non-essential technologies load only after you opt in. On your first visit we present a banner where you can accept all, reject non-essential, or customize each category. We record your choice (categories, policy version, timestamp) as proof of consent, and you can change it anytime via "Cookie settings" in the footer.
3. United States — Do Not Sell or Share & GPC
CalHire does not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Consistent with the CCPA/CPRA and comparable US state laws, we provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out where required.

We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not store authentication tokens in browser-readable storage on this website.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a "do not track" or Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor where required. Disabling strictly necessary storage may affect minor preferences but will not stop you browsing.
