How to export or delete your data
Both live in your privacy settings, and neither requires you to email anyone or explain yourself.
Export everything
Request a full copy of your data. You get an encrypted bundle covering your profile, consents, billing records and preferences, and the download link expires after 48 hours. You can make one request every 30 days.
The expiry is not an obstacle — a permanent link to a complete copy of someone's personal data is a liability sitting in an inbox waiting to be forwarded.
Delete your account
- Request deletion from your privacy settings.
- Confirm with the one-time code we email you, so a borrowed session cannot delete your account.
- A 30-day grace period begins. You can cancel throughout.
- After it, your data is hard-deleted and the audit trail is anonymised rather than kept about you.
The grace period is there because an irreversible decision taken in a bad hour should be reversible in a better one.
What survives deletion
Some records have statutory retention periods and cannot simply be removed — financial and tax records, chiefly. Those are kept for the period the law requires and are not linked back to you where they do not need to be.
One thing is genuinely permanent: a completed identity reveal. If you consented to an employer learning who you are, that happened, and the record that it happened is append-only by design. Deleting your account does not remove an employer's memory of a conversation, and we do not pretend it could.
Your consents
Every consent is separately withdrawable — marketing, analytics, reveal, public profile. There is no single switch that quietly bundles them, and withdrawing one never withdraws another.
Your rights in full
Access, correction, deletion, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent apply wherever you are. Sections 9 to 14 of the Privacy Policy set out the region-specific detail for the EU, the UK, the United States, the UAE and India, including the authority you can complain to.
